Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 in its home market earlier this month. On Tuesday Xiaomi teased the global launch of the Redmi Note 7 via a picture. The photo shows the Redmi Note 7 with a wallpaper of a globe. This also hints that the Redmi Note 7 is coming to India much sooner than you can even imagine. Xiaomi India has already officially announced that the Redmi Note 7 will be launching in India very soon, we expect it to happen in few weeks, possibly in the first half of February.
Xiaomi India has been teasing the coming of the Redmi Note 7 for quite some time now. The company has confirmed that a 48MP camera phone will be heading to India very soon. Considering the Redmi Note 7 is the only Xiaomi phone with 48MP camera, that's the phone coming to India next. Meanwhile, Xiaomi CEO at the China launch of the Redmi Note 7 revealed that Note 7 Pro with 48MP camera paired with a Sony sensor will go official next month. In case Xiaomi India changes its plans for the Redmi Note 7, the company could bring the Note 7 Pro to the country instead.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro will come with the 48MP camera as the Redmi Note 7 but will use a Sony sensor. The Note 7 uses a Samsung ISOCELL sensor. Rumours suggest the Note 7 Pro could use Sony IMX586 sensor. This means that the pictures that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will click will be much clearer and better looking than the ones captured with Redmi Note 7. The good news is, considering Redmi Note 7 comes with Samsung ISOCELL sensor the phone will be capable of clicking well lit pictures in low light situations.
Meanwhile, another report coming from Chinese microblogging site, Weibo, hints that Xiaomi could soon launch a 6GB RAM model with 128GB storage model of the Redmi Note 7. Currently, the Redmi Note 7 is available in three models -- 3GB RAM/32GB of internal storage, 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage, and 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. Compared to other models, the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage model of Note 7 will be expensive.
As for the prices, the base model of the Redmi Note 7 that comes with 3GB RAM/32GB of internal storage retails at 999 yuan (roughly around Rs 10,500), the second model comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage and sells for 1199 yuan which roughly translates to around Rs 12,400. Lastly, the top-end model of the Redmi Note 7 comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which has been priced at 1399 yuan which when roughly translated comes to Rs 14,500.
